Child sponsorship is about sponsoring a child and supporting the child's community to help
take good care of its children.

  • You are not just helping the child go to school but are addressing all the factors that are keeping the child out of it
  • You are not just providing the child with a healthy childhood but also helping build opportunities for the child's family to have a sustainable source of livelihood and income
WHAT IS CHILD SPONSORSHIP?
  • ₹ 7,200 per child per year
  • Monthly ACH Option: ₹600 per child per month
  • A minimum 3-year-long support works in the best interest of the child
  • Tax exemption of 50% of your contribution under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961

We strive to build a sustainable and socially just future, for the communities we work with. Children's education, nutrition and protection are at the centre of our focus, in each of our initiatives. We measure the progress of our work by the progress that children and women in the communities achieve.

WE WORK IN 317 DISTRICTS, INCLUDING 134 MOST BACKWARD DISTRICTS OF INDIA.

ActionAid India has been working with poor and marginalised people in India since 1972. We work in 25 states and one Union Territory reaching out to over 8 million people every year, those of whom belong to the most marginalised and excluded groups.
