As Michaung Cyclone enters its second day in Tamil Nadu, regions where ActionAid Association is actively engaged with through multiple interventions, encompassing Chennai, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur, and Chengalpet, has been severely impacted, with heavy rain and wind causing widespread damage. Following a swift impact assessment by our team, it is evident that urgent relief measures are imperative to support affected families. Approximately 2,000 families urgently require assistance within our intervention areas, including homeless families in Broadway, Mannadi, Memorial Hall and other localities; people living in informal settlements; domestic workers, and residents of Perumbakkam and Semmancheri.
