This publication documents the rich discussions and collective learning that emerged from Urban Action School 2023, which examined the evolving urban–rural continuum in India and the Global South. Bringing together scholars, practitioners, activists, and policymakers, it challenges rigid rural–urban binaries and highlights how migration, livelihoods, climate change, governance, and planning intersect across spaces. Through conceptual reflections, regional case studies, and field-based insights, the volume foregrounds the lived realities of marginalised communities and argues for integrated, people-centred approaches to development. It serves as both a learning resource and a strategic framework for advancing more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable futures for all.
