In these time of crisis, ActionAiders across India are working tirelessly on the ground to bring succour to daily wagers, low income families and migrant workers, hoping to release the burden they face due to loss of income and livelihoods, a result of the necessary lockdown.
AAA reached out to the Covid-19 Economic Response Task Force led by the Finance Minister, with suggestions and have offered all support to the High-Level Committee for Engagement of Private Sector, International Organisations, CSOs/NGOs and other Development Partners constituted by the Government of India, under the Chairmanship of the
Chief Executive Officer, NITI Aayog. Our suggestions have also been well-received by State Governments, and we continue engaging with Government and statutory bodies, including the National Commission for Women, to ensure policies which place marginalised communities and the women and children amongst them at the core of all interventions.
