Aao School Chalein | Come Lets Go to School
The Issue
In many parts of India, poor and vulnerable communities, including SC, ST, OBC, NT, DNT, and PVTG groups, face significant barriers to education. For example, many parents and guardians in these communities are not aware of the importance of education or the opportunities available for their children. Additionally, financial difficulties often force children to work instead of attending school, leading to high dropout rates. Furthermore, discrimination and social exclusion prevent many children from accessing education. Many schools also ack basic facilities, making it difficult for children to continue their education. Many children eligible for social protection schemes are not linked to these programs, which could support their education.
Objectives
The “Aao School Chalein | Come Lets Go To School” campaign aims to address these challenges by
Raising Awareness: Educating communities about the importance of education and the opportunities available.
Enrolling Out-of-School Children: Identifying children who are not attending school and facilitating their enrollment.
Supporting School Attendance: Monitoring and supporting regular school attendance to ensure children stay in school.
Engaging Stakeholders: Involving parents, teachers, and school management committees to create a supportive learning environment.
Linking Children to Social Schemes: Connecting eligible children to government social protection schemes to support their education.
